About the Skills Library's Online Skills PortfolioThe Online Skills Portfolio is a web-based portfolio that allows students to display essays, photos, artwork, spreadsheets, presentations, databases, music clips and more in a visually appealing portfolio. Students use an online form to create portfolio items and to upload files to the web. No HTML coding is needed. The portfolio is customized to the needs of a school or program. The portfolio includes a school/program Portfolio Home Page, which includes a list of participating students. (This page, which can be linked to the school or program website, resides on the Skills Library website.) From this portfolio home page, readers can click on a student name to view the student's Portfolio Table of Contents. From the Table of Contents, readers can click to view each Portfolio Item. The portfolio is organized around a customizable skills checklist - usually 7-8 skills - that students demonstrate through their portfolio products. |
