Career Exploration

Troop 3262 Home

The goal of this project was just to become familiar with a variety of careers. Projects included talking with people about their careers using the Career Outlook Interview and visiting workplaces -- such as Girls' Day at the Statehouse, parents' workplaces and more. We also included several short activities -- such as a "quiz" on the percent of women in various careers and interviews with troop members' mothers about being a working mom. The final activity was creating a career exploration scrapbook, using information from the interviews and pictures and information from college catalogs. All troop members earned the Dreams to Reality career exploration award. Since each Interest Project Patch that we do includes a career exploration activity, troop members will continue exploring lots of career opportunities even now that we've finished this award.
